This Update provides a review of work published in the area of musculoskeletal tumors, including metastatic bone disease, between May 2016 and May 2017. These studies were largely Level-III or IV, in part because of the rarity and varied nature of these tumors. We focused on articles from The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research as well as studies of interest from other selected journals.
