SUSY vacua versus chiral fermions

Abstract
Properties of supersymmetric ground states in a class of four-dimensional theories with chiral fermions are investigated. Constraints on such vacua conflict with a small-size instanton effect which, unless unexpectedly cancelled, spontaneously breaks supersymmetry.
