Abstract
Phonetic analysis of aspiration in Polish reveals it to be of two types: released and unreleased. The former type occurs if the stop is followed by a vowel, the latter if it is followed by a consonantal sonorant. The distinction is based on the analysis of voice onset after the offglide phase of the stop consonant. AA
