Abstract
An interaction between
Drosophila HP1a and H3K36 histone demethylase dKDM4A reported in this issue of
Molecular Cell (
Lin et al., 2008) offers an explanation for association of HP1a with active genes, reinforcing the notion of dynamic interplay among epigenetic marks on histone tails during transcription.
