Abstract
Streptococcus bovis has classically been associated with colorectal carcinomas in literature. Curiously enough, no other
Streptococcus species have hitherto been associated with such a malignancy or any other tumors. This report presents a case of early-stage colorectal carcinoma diagnosed in a patient with infection with the related
Streptococcus species
S suis. A discussion of possible pathogenetic implications follows.
