Abstract
Generalized Montesinos tangles are classified, and the system of unoriented tangle equations N(U + P) - K-1 and N(U + R) - K-2 is solved for a generalized Montesinos tangle U where P and R are rational tangles and K-1 and K-2 are Montesinos knots/links.
