Abstract
Enol phosphates, readily prepared from ketone enolates and dialkyl phosphorochloridate, can be converted to the analogous β-ketophosphonates by treatment with strong base. Cyclic enol phosphates can be converted to β-ketophosphonates by treatment with strong base. [Display omitted]
