Abstract
Magnetospheric precipitation plays an important role for the coupling of Magnetosphere, Ionosphere, and Thermosphere (M-I-T) systems. In this paper, we detail some of the important open questions regarding the origins of magnetospheric particle precipitation and how precipitation affects ionospheric conductance.
