Abstract

Researchers conducted a study to determine whether pigeons are capable of processing and categorizing images similar to humans. The study involved the use of a special testing box that featured photo slides, colored buttons and a 'reward' grain hopper. Results showed that pigeons were able to differentiate between objects and were able to classify them according to similarities in design.
