Abstract
Genuine stress incontinence is a common problem whose pathogenesis stems from an anatomical defect of the bladder neck and proximal urethra. After correct investigation treatment can be instigated which will ensure a successful outcome. Contemporary management is reviewed. © 1994 The International Urogynecology Journal.
