Abstract
2nd part of a 2-part review of the use of tissue expansion techniques for the reconstruction of scars following burns injuries, focusing on the techniques used in tissue expansion and post-operative complications. The operating phases of tissue expansion are explained, and factors affecting the use of tissue expansion in paediatric patients, and strategies to minimise complications are outlined. 73 references
