Abstract
Results are presented for an educational experiment in a structures and dynamics lab course in aerospace engineering. The experiment was designed to increase the in‐class interaction between instructor and student, making a more efficient use of class time by increasing students' understanding of the course material. Several techniques were employed, but of chief importance were innovations such as preparatory lab exercises, pretesting, and questioning strategies within the lecture context. 1994 American Society for Engineering Education
