Abstract
Ultrasound is the modality of choice for the initial assessment of the gall bladder and the biliary tree. This article is the first of two, and details normal ultrasound appearances of the gall bladder, as well as appearances of cholecystitis, sludge, adenomyomatosis, polyps, carcinoma and parasites. © 2014 MA Healthcare Ltd.
