Abstract
Despite a wealth of convincing evidence that demonstrates a reduction in coronary heart disease risk with the use of various lipid-lowering therapies, dyslipidemia continues to be widely undertreated in the US. By becoming familiar with treatment guidelines and with existing and emerging clinical evidence and therapeutic strategies, clinicians can improve the management of patients with dyslipidemia.
