Abstract
The sonographic findings in a case of retroperitoneal fibrosis, which demonstrated encasement and medial deviation of the ureters by the mass, are discussed. Since sonography is the primary screening modality for hydronephrosis, it is possible to use graded-compression sonography in the same setup to make a specific diagnosis of this entity.
