Abstract
Richard Miller was one of the most influential voice teachers of the twentieth century, and a pioneer of science-informed voice pedagogy. This article, copublished in the Festschrift, Sotto Voce, Readings in Voice Pedagogy: Legacies of Richard Miller , discusses his remarkable understanding of voice physiology and acoustics, and evaluates his writings in the context of modern voice science.
