Voice Research and Technology: Introducing a Video for Using Straw Phonation

Abstract
Phonation into a thin straw is the latest in a century-old tradition of using resonance tubes (with and without dipping the end of the tube in water), and some basic acoustic and aerodynamic science has been used to explain the therapeutic effects. Various YouTube videos have produced for an introduction to this technique. An explanation of what is being demonstrated in one of the videos is provided.
