Abstract

Vocal science expert Ingo Titze offers his musings on speech-like singing and voice training for various genres and styles of musical performance. He discusses the differences between electronically amplified voice production; whether classically trained singers retain what they have learned when they cross-train in popular music genres (and vice-versa); and shares his experiments with his own singing voice.
