Abstract
Areas of current research that may be applied to future improvement of cochlear implant hearing devices include psychophysical studies, speech perception studies, & aural rehabilitation studies. The important role of enhanced feature perception in improved speech recognition is noted. The significance of individual adaptations of the devices for the patient's needs is also considered. 7 Figures, 15 References. B. Annesser Murray
