Abstract

We provide a new large class𝓒_(AFP)of amalgamated free product groups for which the product rigidity result from [CdSS15] holds: ifG₁,…,G_(n)∈𝓒_(AFP)andHis any group such thatL(G₁×…× G_(n))≅ L(H) , then there exists a product decompositionH=H₁×…× H_(n)such thatL(Hᵢ)is stably isomorphic toL(Gᵢ) , for any1≤ i≤ n . The class𝓒_(AFP)containsW^(*)andC^(*) -superrigid groups from [CD-AD20]. Consequently, we obtain examples of product groups that are bothW^(*)andC^(*) -superrigid.
