Abstract

This report presents the results of a study about the ability of children to receive dental services, the types of services they receive, how soon they first receive dental services after enrolling, and the costs of dental services in the Iowa hawk-i separate state child health insurance program (S-SCHIP) and the Iowa Medicaid program. It was conducted at the request of the Iowa Department of Human Services as part of their continuing quality assurance activities with health plans participating in hawk-i.
