Pharmacology Workbook and Drug Log
University of Iowa

Abstract

Pharmacology (how drugs work) is a critical component of healthcare curriculums. However, Pharmacology may also benefit students whose professions lie outside of healthcare. Drugs, both therapeutic and non-therapeutic, are common on college campuses. Student drug abuse also remains a concern on many college campuses. General pharmacology education may create a culture of more educated consumers and reduce drug misuse.

This workbook contains a series of application/critical thinking activities developed to supplement Pharmacology lecture materials suited for students with minimal science background and works to model and guide students through the critical thinking processes that need to be employed when engaging the Pharmacology curriculum.</p
