Biography and Expertise

Research: Processes of word retrieval in typical adult speakers, and in speakers with acquired neurogenic language disorders (particularly aphasia).

Research Interests: Language production in aphasia, particularly in the processes of lexical access and fluency of language production.

Research focus: Lexical access in normal and disordered speakers

Subject area: Adult language disorders

My research focuses on the process of word retrieval in typical adult speakers, and in speakers with acquired neurogenic language disorders (particularly aphasia). I am interested in exploring the factors which make words easier or harder to retrieve, and how these factors influence the production of speech errors, as well as the factors affecting the fluency of language production.
