SHARE is building a free, open, data set about research and scholarly activities across their life cycle. Institutional Repositories can have their content harvested by SHARE. However, such harvesting has been using simple Dublin Core, which is less complete and less granular than qualified Dublin Core. This snapshot will discuss a collaborative effort by several libraries to map their metadata to SHARE, with inspiration coming from DataCite. The presenter will identify specific problem areas that were encountered, with suggestions for data and mapping improvement, as well as areas that need more clarification in the IR community.
