Abstract
This dataset summarized a study investigating the PCB congener specific distribution in tissues, including adipose, brain, liver and serum of germ-free and conventional mice, which were exposed orally to an environmental mimic PCB mixture, Fox River Mixture (FRM) with low dose (6 mg per kg body weigh), high dose (30 mg per kg body weight) and control (corn oil alone). The dataset includes, method detection limit (MDL), limit of detection (LOD), background levels of PCBs in method blanks (MB) and tissue blanks (tissue control), ongoing precision and recovery (OPR) in both method blank and tissue blank (tissue control), levels of PCB congeners and PCB groups in exposure groups, mass percentages of PCB congeners and PCB groups, and mass profile of FRM. Neurotoxic equivalent quotient (NEQ) of PCB groups by PCB homologs and ortho-substituted chlorine numbers, and liver gene and protein expression.
