Summer 2016
Abstract
Because specialized care for Iowans with eating disorders is scarce in the state, primary care providers must become more aware, learn about resources, and do more to promote and provide treatment for patients with eating disorders, according to a statewide needs assessment. A needs assessment of eating disorder programs and services in Iowa was conducted by researchers in the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2015.
