Biography and Expertise

Dr. Conrad is a licensed psychologist and tenured, Associate Professor in the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics. Her clinical expertise is in the diagnosis of language and reading disorders. Her research combines neuropsychological assessment and neuroimaging (MRI and fNIRS) methods to evaluate development from infancy through young adulthood. Her independent line of research focuses on language development and the impact on reading in patients with isolated cleft of the lip and/or palate (iCL/P). Dr. Conrad also collaborates with researchers to evaluate neuropsychological development in children with a variety of medical diagnoses (e.g., premature birth, cancer, chronic kidney disease, and hemophilia).
