Biography and Expertise
Francisco Paulo Jamil Marques (Journalist and PhD in Communication Studies, Federal University of Bahia, 2008) is an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Iowa. He is also a researcher associated to the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. He works as a CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, Brazil) productivity research fellow and coordinates the Research Group on Media, Politics, and Technology (PONTE/UFPR). His interests focus on Political Communication, Journalism, Public Opinion, and Digital Democracy.
