Biography and Expertise
My primary scientific interest concerns disturbances of personality. Over the past several years, my research activity has focused on the nature of personality disturbances consequent to development of a brain disorder, and issues regarding the assessment of acquired personality disturbances (APD).
Recent and current projects have investigated APD associated with damage to prefrontal cortex or associated with specific conditions such as behavioral variant-frontotemporal dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and traumatic brain injury, as well as personality changes associated with normal aging and their functional consequences.
Clinical neuropsychology; cognitive neuroscience; acquired personality disturbances following brain damage; decision-making deficits in the elderly.
