Sidney (Sid) F. Huttner, Head, Special Collections & University Archives at The University of Iowa 1999-2012, at present senior librarian emeritus; earlier posts: The University of Tulsa 1984-1998; Syracuse University 1980-1984; and The University of Chicago 1970-1980. Raised on a farm in northwest North Dakota, completed high school at Lewis & Clark High School, Spokane, Washington, followed by BA (Tutorial Studies, 1963) and MA (Philosophy, 1969) degrees at The University of Chicago. In 1963-1964, a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Stanford University. A Register of Artists, Engravers, Booksellers, Bookbinders, Printers & Publishers in New York City, 1821–42 published in 1993 by the Bibliographical Society of America. Published book reviews and articles since the 1970s (reproduced here); edited book review sections of Rare Books and Manuscripts Librarianship (RBML; now RBM) 1993-1999; Guild of Book Workers Newsletter (1993-2003).

recovering the publication history of a single 19th century book, has documented publication of Owen Meredith's romance in couplets, Lucile, 1860-1938, and created a still growing collection of some 1600 unique copies of the book.
